The ideal WhatsApp profile picture (DP) size is 500 × 500 pixels. WhatsApp accepts images up to 5 MB but automatically compresses anything larger. For the best quality, upload a square image at exactly 500×500 pixels as a JPG.
WhatsApp displays your DP as a circle, so make sure your main subject — your face, logo, or object — is centred and doesn't extend to the edges. Leave at least 10% padding on all sides to avoid cropping.
